Glass railing for concrete stairs

Appropriate possibilities to demonstrate new machines, additional space and better comfort for the employees: These were the main reasons why the company Rehm Thermal Systems, located in Blaubeuren-Seißen, invested in a new building of more than 3,000 square metres effective space. In the administration facilities the different storeys are connected by a modern concrete staircase. To create a contrast to the massive concrete stairs the installation of a transparent glass railing suggested itsself. What material would have been more suitable than glass?

In order to achieve best results concerning the transparency of the glass railing the upper part was completed by a filigree stainless steel U-section. This also constitutes the edge protection of the balustrade.
