Our metal construction employee Florian was engaged in voluntary work for the active playground in Ursenwang. On his own initiative, he made a handrail for an existing staircase leading to a kitchen and a storage room for playground equipment.

Staircase of the year 2020
In 2020, the platform treppen.de presented the "Staircase of the Year" award in various categories for the 15th time. This year, MetallArt was once again among the lucky winners. The award went to a spiral steel staircase with an extraordinary railing solution in the category "Architecture".

Staircase of the year 2019
Since 2006, Germany's No. 1 specialist portal for staircase construction - Treppen.de - choose annually the stairs of the year. This year, an independent jury of four people came together, consisting of an architect, a master carpenter, a master joiner and a specialist editor.

Always up-to-date
As a specialist for exclusive three-dimensionally curved staircases and railings, we are constantly improving our products in order to stand out more strongly from the competition in special staircase construction and to set standards for aesthetically demanding staircase architecture. In this context, we developed an all-glass railing system for example that allows the installation of significantly greater glass panes than stipulated by DIN Standards. This system was specifically approved by the German construction authorities and a General Building Inspection Test Certificate (abP) was issued.
The three-dimensionally curved steel soffit lining is another new feature that provides structural support for self-supporting staircase constructions. It allows the precise calculation of the material consumption and improves the vibration characteristics of the staircase and the surface quality.

For our latest innovation, we have taken advantage of the demand for sophisticated lighting solutions in staircase construction and developed an LED handrail lighting system that is particularly popular because the lamps are integrated flush to the surface on the underside of the handrail. The noble design combined with a maximum of technology is suitable for both indoor and outdoor use.
These are only three of many examples that show how much we strive to respond to the wishes and needs of our customers in order to realise their individual ideas. To this end, we work closely with designers, architects and promoters and enrich this cooperation with our wealth of experience and knowledge. This results in unique staircases that are designed and manufactured entirely in our factory in Salach.
Over the last decades, we have established ourselves as experts in sophisticated staircase construction through innovative craftsmanship combined with elegant design. One reason for our success is certainly the fact that we unite the engineering departments under one roof: 3D stairs planning, structural analyses, and manufacturing. This is quality “made in Germany”. And success proves us right: Our international customers meanwhile include architects and promoters from Austria, Switzerland, Poland, Mallorca, Netherlands, France, Luxembourg, Bahrain, Romania, Russia, China, Azerbaijan, Nigeria, and the USA.
